The TUCVM Department of Graduate Public Health’s (DGPH) Samina Akhter was invited to present to ’s Journal Club on April 7, 2025. The presentation was also attended by IBS PhD students, DGPH faculty, and fellow professors.
Ms. Akhter presented her abstract and research work titled, "The Relationship Between Environmental Pollution and the Risk of Developing Breast Cancer in the Black Belt Counties of Alabama." Ms. Akhter is the Director of Assessment and Analytics for the College of Veterinary Medicine and Public Health Career Placement Specialist in the Department of Graduate Public Health.
“It was a pleasure to share insights and engage in meaningful discussion. I was especially happy to encourage doctoral students to explore this important area further and consider building on this research,” said Ms. Akhter.
“I look forward to future opportunities for collaboration.”
