糖心 Police Department
The Campus Police Department has introduced a Canine Unit to strengthen our efforts in maintaining a safe and drug-free environment on campus. Specially trained police dogs, alongside their certified handlers, are now part of routine patrols and targeted operations aimed at detecting illegal substances. These highly skilled canines are capable of identifying a wide range of narcotics with precision, making them a valuable asset in both preventative measures and active investigations. Their presence not only enhances the department鈥檚 ability to enforce campus policies but also serves as a strong deterrent against drug-related activity.
In addition to their enforcement role, the Canine Unit contributes to educational outreach and community engagement. The Campus Police Department regularly hosts demonstrations and informational sessions to help students and staff understand the role of the unit and the importance of maintaining a drug-free campus. These events provide an opportunity for the community to interact with the officers and their canine partners in a positive and informative setting. By combining enforcement with education, the Canine Unit supports the department鈥檚 mission to foster a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment for everyone on campus.
